We’ve had to get used to temporary traffic lights near St Paul’s Church. They’ve been there whilst work to install a pedestrian crossing was under way. But now they’re gone! All that remains in the road are some oily patches.
The new metal barrier on the further side of the road is a bit of a puzzle. Is it there just to stop people scrambling up the bank to get to St Paul’s? (It can’t be to stop them stampeding AWAY from St Paul’s, surely!)
I see that they have put up “traffic light” signs on both sides of the new crossing, but there is no sign (yet) of the crossing itself. Hopefully it will arrive soon…
